I hope when Will is institutionalized for depression we get a vision of the Ravenstag decomposing in fast-motion a la "A Zed and Two Noughts". The show has a number of affinities with Greenaway's work.
ReplyDeleteAlana went upstairs because she knew she had another clip to load and wanted to save Jack.
Good to see someone on youtube has compiled a lot of the time-lapse decay scenes together (plus the snail finale), set to an appropriately speedy Nyman track. Although to be honest I greatly preferred the score to "Drowning by Numbers". And to pre-empt, no I have not seen Greenaway's cannibalism movie.
DeleteSince you guys mentioned ideas for podcast topics during the hiatus, you guys could always do the movie King Arthur in which Mads and Hugh both have supporting roles. I personally find it deeply ironic that Hugh played Galahad, who has traditionally been the "pure-hearted" knight while Mad played Tristan the proverbial "homewrecker". Another suggestion would be to just generally discuss other movies they've each done.
ReplyDeleteI think the catching Abigail wither her hand in the candy jar could be like Hansel and Gretel, with the candy being a lure to keep her under Hannibal's control.
